The short version, for parents. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
Only an adult can sign up. A child never creates an account or gives us an email address. You add a profile for each child with a name or nickname of your choice, and you can change or remove it at any time.
We do not ask for a child’s date of birth, school, address or any contact details. A kid profile is a nickname plus their practice progress: XP, rank, streaks, themes and the topics they have practised.
We do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising or ad targeting. Analytics are off unless you accept the cookie banner, and they are tied to an internal ID, never a name.
Algy has no chat, messaging, public profiles or leaderboards. Children cannot talk to other users or share anything publicly. The only message a child can send is a report that a question looks wrong.
Practice questions are generated and checked by AI (Anthropic). Only the question and answer content is sent, with no name, email or other identifying detail. Algy runs further checks on generated questions before a child sees them.
Some topics link to an explainer video on YouTube, which opens outside Algy and is governed by YouTube’s own rules, so you may want to be nearby the first time. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe: we never see or store card details.
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your family’s data. Email support@learnwithalgy.com; that inbox is read directly and deletion requests are aimed to be actioned within 30 days. If you ever have a safeguarding or privacy concern about Algy, use the same address and we will respond personally.
